ONCE THE PRODUCT ARRIVES
SHIPPING INFORMATION
In order to be safe and have your roses in time for a special gathering or event, we suggest that you have them arrive to you 3 days before the day of display. For example, if your event is on Friday you should have your flowers arrive to you by Tuesday. This will allow you enough time to hydrate, arrange, and see the flowers start to bloom. Now, in order for your flowers to arrive to you on a Tuesday you must order them online on the Friday prior by noon eastern time zone. Any flower ordered after 12 pm will be processed on the next business day. The important point is to always place your order with enough anticipation.

Roses can be ordered year-round, because of Ecuador’s geographical location it is fortunate to produce all year. You must consider, however, that mother nature’s ever changing force will vary every season, so availability will change and color tones may look slightly different. Precisely this is why pricing and content will vary and be based on availability, market, and weather conditions.
Roses will arrive to you in bunches/bundles of 25 stems each. Each bunch is constructed by 2 layers/levels so that the product can travel better and suffer the least possible mechanical damage. If you look at the bunch from up top it may seem as if you only have 12 stems of roses, however, once you open the cardboard wrap surrounding the roses you will see the second layer containing the remaining 13 stems. Each stem carries one bloom/bud.

Guard petals/ exterior petals of the rose buds are left intact and shipped during travel in order to protect the roses, and again in order to minimize mechanical damage. Once you receive your roses it is normal for them to look slightly dehydrated, discolored, and have slight bruising on them. When you process them, you will have to remove 4 to 6 or more exterior petals per rose stem in order to clean them and prep them for a wonderful display.

The cardboard wrap around the rose buds contains them from further blooming, so once the cardboard is removed and the roses in take water as hydration, the bud size of the stem will then grow to a larger size.

The single stem length of each rose will be a minimum of 40cm (15.7 inches) to a maximum of 60cm (23.6 inches). However, unless selected specifically to measurement the rose will be 40cm in length. An expected reference for vase life of the product is approximately 8 days or more, certainly handled with the adequate care and conditions.

Substitution of product can occur, but rest assured that any replacement will be as similar as possible to your original selection.

FLOWER CARE
Travel conditions can be stressful for flowers, but rest assured that we prepare them carefully at our farm prior to their journey. Hydration and cooling procedures are key for the longevity of roses so all of our product goes through quality control and procedure inspections prior departure.
Once your flowers arrive they will look dehydrated and possibly limpy. This is completely normal, and bellow is a guide as to how to handle your roses for them to THRIVE.
-
Once you open your box you will see straps inside that hold the flowers from shifting while travel, cut them carefully and remove all flowers.

-
All bunches have cardboards wraps around the rose heads, plastic sleeves covering the foliage, and rubber bands holding the stems.

-
In order to protect your hands from the possible thorns, you may choose to wear gloves.

-
Remove the plastic sleeve and the rubber bands holding the stems, but do not remove the cardboard wrap from around the rose heads.

-
Using a floral cutter, cut 1 inch from each stem at an angle, and have your vases/containers ready with water.

-
Immediately place flowers in water for 3-4 hours, and store your flowers in a cool spot away from heat, direct sunlight, and air vents. The longer you hydrate them, even beyond 4 hours the better vase life you will attain. Exposing flowers to warm temperatures will make flowers bloom faster, and keeping them in a cool environment will make them bloom slower.

-
After hydration, you can proceed to remove the cardboard wrap around the rose buds and continue to clean your flowers peeling off the guard petals and removing any undesired foliage so it does not submerge under water. Arrange as desired in a vase/container making sure you keep it clean and replenished with water.

-
For product longevity, cut 1 inch off the bottom of each stem and change water every other day. It is best recommended to use cool water and to remove any foliage that may fall into the water to prevent the water from dirtying.

-
Do not overcrowd your containers so flowers can breathe and therefore bloom properly. If you notice any stem to still be dehydrated, re-cut it another inch and at an angle.

-
During the first 12 hours pay attention to the water in your containers so that you may replenish it and make sure that all stems will always be submerged. The first 12 hours is when flowers will hydrate the most, they are thriving after travel. Always make sure that your containers have at least 60 to 65% water in them at all times.
